Chrysoula Theioka, LL.M (Hannover)

Chrysoula Theioka is a graduate of the School of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2015). She holds a Master´s degree with honors in Informational Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the Law Faculty of Leibniz University Hannover (2017). While studying in Hannover, Chrysoula developed practical experience in IT- and Data Protection Law by working in Essen for TÜV NORD. As a member of TÜV NORD´s team, she primarily provided advice on compliance with the new EU Data Protection Regulation. Along with the legal advisory responsibilities, she supported the Corporate Data Protection Officer on the review and update of data protection policies, processes and guidelines as well as producing privacy statements. From January 2018, Chrysoula is a research fellow at CELLS with focus on Data Protection and Biotechnological Law. She is currently working in two third-party funded projects: iCare (BMBF) and REBIRTH (DFG). Chrysoula is an Attorney at Law and a member of the Kavala Bar Association, Greece. Her native language is Greek and she speaks fluently English and German.
