Visiting Fellows

CELLS hosts visiting fellows from around the world for research stays, integrating them into an active group of interdisciplinary researchers. Fellows are provided access to office space and are invited to participate in weekly research meetings and other Institute activities. Fellows will have the opportunity to present their work and organize collaborative events or projects. The term of the visiting fellowship is one year (with possibility of renewal in exceptional circumstances).

Application: To apply for a visiting fellowship, please send the following materials to

  • C.V.
  • Letter of motivation (no longer than 2 pages), explaining your background, interest in CELLS, and general hopes for the fellowship
    • Please describe your scholarship specifically in terms of its match with CELLS Institute Objectives of improving technoscience, building interdisciplinarity, and operationalizing justice. Of special importance is an explanation of how your ongoing research and teaching include consideration of diversity and societal inequities, and thus would contribute to CELLS’ broader aim of improving technoscience and academia as a whole.

If approved, start date and related details will be determined in consultation with CELLS staff.
