Yvonne Stöber, Dipl.-Ök. (Hannover)
Yvonne Stöber is the Administrative Director of the Centre for Ethics and Law in the Life Sciences (CELLS). She is in charge of all matters relating to science and research management. Above all, she is the interface between the research community and administration. Her responsibilities encompass: managing human resources, the financial, and the public relations aspects of CELLS.
Yvonne Stöber supports the Managing Director of CELLS in the operative day-to-day business and strategic concerns. Moreover, she facilitates the academic work of the researchers at CELLS, and looks after the research projects. Vital, in this respect, is her role in the coordination of third-party funded projects, as well as the state funded projects. Regarding public relations, Yvonne Stöber is responsible for promoting CELLS’s position in the highly competitive and diverse field of our research.
Yvonne Stöber studied economics at the Leibniz Universität Hannover, obtaining the equivalent of a Master’s degree (Diplom-Ökonom) in 2005. She majored in health and insurance economics, in labour economics, and in business economics.
After completing her economics degree, her first position was at Lower Saxony’s Center of Excellence for Risk and Insurance (Kompetenzzentrum Versicherungswissenschaften). In 2006, she returned to the Leibniz Universität Hannover, where she worked for some years as a research fellow at the Centre for Health Economics Research Hannover. Her research projects focussed on issues relating to health economics. In 2008, she moved to the Hannover Medical School (MHH), where she was in charge of finances, public relations and different research projects within the Cluster of Excellence REBIRTH (From Regenerative Biology to Reconstructive Therapy).
