Welcome to CELLS
CELLS (Centre for Ethics and Law in the Life Sciences) is an internationally oriented, interdisciplinary research unit established as an institute at the Faculty of Humanities at Leibniz Universitaet Hannover (LUH). Starting life as the "Medical Law and Bioethics Research Group" in 2007, CELLS was first proposed as a research centre in its own right in an inaugural meeting between researchers at LUH and the then Vice President for Research, Prof. Klaus Hulek, on 10. September 2008. CELLS has grown ever since and is now one of the leading centres for the study of ethical, legal and social implications of life sciences research.
